Repair, replacement, and insulated installations from ten Northeast Ohio locations. Cold-rated springs, sealed thresholds, and doors that still move when the driveway is under six inches of snow.
The speed of a large company with the accountability of a local team.
Torsion springs and lubricants specified for sub-zero mornings, when standard parts stiffen and snap.
Polyurethane-core steel doors and threshold seals that keep the garage above freezing and the drafts out of the house.
Level, plumb, and slab heave are checked on every job, because Ohio ground moves and doors follow it.
Every fastener, cable, and bracket set to specification and logged, so the door works the same in February as in July.
Dedicated technicians in 10 cities means faster arrival and people who know your area.
We fix what actually failed on your door and explain it plainly, so the same problem does not come back next month.
Our services cover everything a Northeast Ohio garage door needs to survive a decade of winters: spring and cable replacement with cold-rated parts, track realignment after slab movement, opener repair and installation, insulated door replacement, and weather-seal work that stops the draft under the door. Each job follows the same procedure. Measure, diagnose, quote in writing, repair to specification, and log the settings. Whichever location you call, the standard is identical.

Reach the LDL Garage Doors location nearest you Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM, or send a message through the contact form. Describe the door and what you've noticed.
A technician looks at the job, explains the options, and puts the price in writing before any work starts. No work begins until you approve it.
Pick an appointment window during business hours. The location confirms the time with you and notes any parts that need to be ordered in advance.
The job is finished, tested in front of you, and documented. You get the paperwork for your records and a straight answer on what to watch for next.
Springs break on the coldest morning of the year, because that is when steel is least forgiving. If your door has dropped, snapped, or come off its track, keep clear of it and call your nearest location during business hours, Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Urgent repairs go to the front of that location's schedule, and the door is balanced and tested before the technician leaves.

All ten locations, from Cleveland to Wooster, keep the same hours: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed Sunday. Repairs and installations are scheduled as appointments through the location you call, within a time window that location confirms with you. If a door has failed outside those hours, keep clear of it and call when the location opens; urgent repairs are placed at the front of that day's schedule.
Call or contact the location nearest you, or use the contact form on this site and tell us which city you are in. Describe what the door is doing, mention the opener brand if you know it, and give us a couple of dates that work. The location will confirm a time and let you know what the technician plans to bring based on your description.
Spring steel loses some of its flexibility as the temperature drops, and a torsion spring that is already near the end of its cycle life will often fail on a sub-zero morning in Akron or Youngstown rather than on a mild afternoon. That is why we install cold-rated springs sized to the measured door weight instead of generic replacements. If your spring has snapped, do not run the opener; the motor was never meant to lift the full weight of the door.
Only with help, and only if you must get a vehicle out. A residential door without a working spring can weigh well over a hundred pounds, and it will come down hard if it slips. Pull the opener release, lift with at least one other adult, and prop the door with locking pliers clamped to the track below the bottom roller. Then leave it alone and call your nearest location to schedule the spring replacement.
Every structural fastener on the door, from the track brackets to the spring anchor plate, is tightened to a specified value with a torque wrench rather than by feel. The spring size, number of winding turns, opener model, and force settings are then written into the installation record kept at your location. When a technician returns years later, they start from the numbers rather than from guesswork, which matters on a door that has been through several Ohio winters.
You find out before any work begins. The technician inspects the door, identifies the cause, and writes a quote that lists the parts and labor. Nothing is replaced until you have approved that figure. Prices vary with the part involved, since a set of cold-rated torsion springs is a different job from a roller replacement, but the sequence of measure, quote, then repair does not change from one location to another.
Yes, in a few ways. The Residential Code of Ohio requires an automatic opener to have photo-eye sensors and a working auto-reverse, and some Northeast Ohio municipalities require a permit for a new door, particularly when the opening is being enlarged or the header is altered. Older homes in Canton and Warren sometimes need framing corrections before a modern door will sit square. The location handling your installation will tell you what applies at your address.
Often, yes. Many subdivisions around Mentor, Wooster, and the suburbs of Cleveland and Akron have architectural review rules that cover door color, window style, and panel design. Before ordering, ask your association for the approved list or a copy of the covenant, and bring it to the location preparing your quote. We can match most common color and panel requirements, and the written quote will spell out the exact model so the review committee has what it needs.
Call your nearest location Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM, or send us a message and we will get right back to you.
